What Is Dementia ?
Dementia is the collective term for some physical diseases and conditions of the brain.
It is not a normal part of ageing, however the risk of dementia increases as we age.
People under 65 years of age can also develop dementia – this is known as younger onset dementia.
People can live well with dementia for a considerable time.
If you (or someone you know) are concerned about changes in speech or memory loss, please contact your GP.
